LVwine.com... Sunset Magazine Printed a Great Article, But Used The Wrong Web Address!

In its September issue, Sunset Magazine introduces a new feature: California Weekends--Day Trips and Local Finds. They start with a Day Trip to Livermore...and provide a good snapshot of things to do in this Bay Area wine country. It has great suggestions and insider tips if you plan to visit during any weekend or Labor Day weekend...when the Valley hosts its 27th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration. Great article but, they got the website wrong: For more information go to the (correct) website: www.LVwine.org.

Plan My Visit: Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association

By Garrett Blanton posted on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - (Press Release)

JVF customized Google Maps to create an itinerary called Plan My Visit.

Visiting all of the different wineries located in the Livermore area was once a difficult task until now. JVF Consulting, LLC is proud to announce that we have added to the functionality of Google Maps by creating a visual itinerary with driving directions. The itinerary which is located on the Plan My Visit page of the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association website shows all of the local wineries in the Livermore area by placing a custom wine bottle icon as the place marker. To view details about a specific winery click the custom wine bottle icon and a pop up window with details about the winery will be displayed. To add this winery to your itinerary simply click the "Add to Itinerary" button located in the bottom left corner of the pop up window. Once you have selected the wineries you would like to visit you can click and drag them around to the order you prefer. The tool then maps out the wineries, and gives you the driving directions in the order you would like to visit them.

The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association is committed to exposing people to the Livermore Valley Wine Appalachian area and the many activities and wineries it has to offer. With the custom content management system powered by JVF amass, LVWA can easily add and remove wineries and events, edit their information, location, and logo images. If a new winery or event is entered into the system it is immediately visible on the Plan My Visit map as well as the calendar of events. With the power of our content management system, Google Maps API, and Ajax; JVF was able to create a user friendly map that will help navigate wine coinsurers around the Livermore valley for years to come.
