Content Curating Platform from eXie Solves Content Usage Issues for Individuals or Groups
“SaaS offering targets top three chronic issues with content collections.”
Jason Franco, co-founder and head of technology at newly formed eXie LLC , announced today the public availability of its namesake solution eXie, a highly scalable web-based platform for planning, curating and publishing content collections without the cost, complexity or learning curve normally associated with applications of comparable purpose.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering is aimed initially at users on desktop, laptop and tablet computer devices.
Franco, well known in the business community as President of the highly regarded JVF Consulting software solutions firm, joined with long-time Bay area enterprise solutions designer Malcolm Ryder to implement an approach drawn from extensive research in content usability and re-use across eighteen user types in both personal and professional content management.
Company co-founder Ryder, who heads product development at eXie, aims the solution into the gap created by content sprawl and disorganization, widely held accountable for high abandonment rates with personal tools, as well as for high employee dissatisfaction with most leading corporate tools.
“People find that their use of sharing, collaboration, storage and search is somewhat unavoidable, yet too often just replaces the problem they’re trying to solve with a different problem that they cannot solve. Their ease of getting content is largely ineffectual because of their low confidence that the right content is being obtained or put into use,” notes Ryder.
“With eXie, we have an unusually simple answer that is easy to learn, cannot be outgrown, and has minimal administrative complexity. Its design constantly reinforces and promotes the user-defined value of collected content for both the content provider and the content consumer.”
Franco adds that the solution is provided by default as a private individual subscription, while allowing the user to share curated collections by publishing them. User access is through signing up for an account at www.exieframes.com. The solution is also available to workgroups and enterprise-size communities.
